A very cold, long but fun day at Chaddesley with all horses home safe and sound, thank goodness. Holly and Amy won three best turned outs, so a massive well done to them and the four o clock start was all worth it! All horses will come on from the run and Immie looked after them as per instructions. Today was all about finding out more about the horses but not putting them under undue pressure until they are fully fit. There were huge fields and in most of the races a runaway lone winner as they went so fast to begin with, which always seems to happen at the beginning of the season. The three main things we learnt is that Murphy needs to do more schooling as he was a bit hesitant at his fences, he clearly hasn't forgotten his fall at Higham, Noddy needs to go on shavings as he looked as though he had eaten a hundredweight of straw, but bless him he had a bad cough two months ago so is behind the others in fitness, and Alistare who ran really well for a lap and a half made a noise and almost certainly needs a tongue strap or maybe a wind operation. It was great racing though and well done to those who had winners in very competitive fields.
