We have walked Cockleburrow and it is much too quick for our horses so we are hoping to head south to Black Forest Lodge once we can make sure that the ground is good down there. Such a shame as we would love to support our local track but we just can't take the risk. If we go to Black Forest we will be taking Exclusive Rights (Scruffy) for the Intermediate and Dancer for the restricted. As Clare Hart is committed to Dabinett Moon at Cockleburrow we are getting Paige Fuller in to school a few for us tomorrow and if all goes well she will be riding Scruffy. We have got a lovely novice rider called Kara Gregory who is taking Dancer on for the season and although Dancer is behind the other horses in her fitness she should give Kara a lovely spin round.

- Pauline has been race riding her own horses in point to points for 15 years and is now training with Doug. Pauline has recently got her trainers permit. They are both passionate about National Hunt racing and achieving maximum potential from their horses in the best possible way. This is why ‘Equine Fitness’ is a very exciting new business for them. In 2006 Doug eventually plucked up the courage (it only took 7 years!) to propose to Pauline whilst they were on holiday in the Maldives and they married in the Lake District in June 2007.
