Sunday 4 June 2017

We had a lot of rain during the night and went to Garthorpe yesterday expecting the ground to be on the softer side of good but sadly they had done very little watering and the bit of rain hadn't made any difference so the ground was too firm for Nelson. We didn't stay long as we were going to the Pytchley Hunt Summer Frolic that evening - A very good night and feeling somewhat jaded this morning....
Most horses have now been roughed off expect for Popaway, Glory Huinter and Exclusive Rights who may all be going to Stratford on the 9th June. Popaway is going to do a piece of work tomorrow and then is going to be scoped to see if it is clear. She seems in fine form now so fingers crossed she has got over her respiratory infection.
It is lovely to have the day off today and it will be nice to catch up on all the jobs that have been put on the back burner for the last few months..
