We have another new arrival! Popaway's beautiful colt foal was born in the early hours of this morning. Of course she had to do things differently from 90% of mares and refused to lie down, making it rather more difficult for us to get the foal out. It was a tight fit as it was such a large foal but thankfully both mother and son are doing really well. He (We have called him Roy after his lovely part owner) went out in the field today on his wobbly legs and came back in this evening looking much stronger. She is much more maternal this time than she was with her first foal, Popalong, and even though she won't let him anywhere near her food bowl seems to be very fond of him.  Such a relief! We now have three left with Jess being the most imminent. As she is a maiden and rather porky, I'm a bit concerned so keeping everything crossed. She was running milk today so it can't be long now.
