A very proud Jess with her foal, Pat.

A massive relief that these two are OK after such a long wait. She is totally besotted with her foal (called Pat because we bought Jess from Pat, in Ireland and also Postman Pat and Jess the cat?!)
We had to tube the foal with some colostrum this morning because when we tested Jess's milk it had very little colostrum left in it as she had been running milk for such a long time. Doug bought it from a stud in Culworth at £150 for 750 mls - Liquid gold! We might take up milking horses for a living if  everything else goes to pot.
We now just have Dream and Tik to go - Keeping everything crossed that the good luck continues.
