Where is everyone?
I just couldn't believe how beautiful the beaches were and that there was absolutely no one else there at all. Apart from a Danish couple on the other side of the island we were the only white holiday tourists. It was quite extraordinary.
What was so special was the magnificent rain forest right on the edge of the beach, so that you could enjoy the beach whilst listening to the amazing sounds of the forest and watch the king fishers, rollers, bee-eaters, sea eagles and countless other birds that I didn't recognise.
