The cold weather continues...

It's beginning to be a bit of a struggle now - we can't work the horses as the ice has started to ball up in their hooves making them slide around. We spent a couple of hours digging the snow out of the horse walker yesterday, so at least they can go on there for a bit of exercise. We have to cart water down to the field as the troughs have frozen solid.

We are supposed to be going ski-ing on Thursday, but Geneva airport ( where we are landing) was closed today because of excessively heavy snow - I'm sure they will have sorted it out by then and it will be great to have a break.

Joseph and Sophie are just on their way back from a ski-ing trip with 700 Young Farmers and are dropping in for some supper and to pick Geoffrey up - they will be exhausted so it won't be a late one, thankfully, as we went to a drinks party at lunchtime and are feeling a little 'jaded'...
