Winter wonderland

There was an amazing sunset last night and then the snow came...and came. In the morning we had around 30 cms of snow. It was absolutely beautiful. Doug managed to get to work as he was fencing not very far away and I mucked the horses out with the help of Jay. We turned them out in the snow and they loved it, galloping around and around and then rolling around, kicking their legs in the air. I had lots of office work to do, so it was a good excuse to tuck myself away in the lovely warm office and deal with the back log of work that has collected over the Chrismas period.

Watching the weather forecast now and it doesn't look as though it is going to get any better for a few days-the country has just about ground to a halt. The snow is going to freeze tonight - sledging tomorrow!
