Leon and Haunted House having a pop.

We didn't run Red today as we didn't want to risk her leg even though the heat had gone. Its only the beginning of the season, so we have plenty of time left. She is going to get two weeks off and then aim for the Oakley in March.
On Friday as it was frozen the sand school was harrowed and all the horses had a jumping session. Jake and Dream also went up the gallop.
Last night we were out to supper with friends (It was Grainger's Birthday, so Georgina had cooked a surprise meal for him - delicious) ) feeling a little jaded this morning but it was a lovely day and after doing the horses I caught up in the garden. It was wonderful seeing the green shoots and bulbs coming through giving me hope that one day this very long winter will end.
At tea time we had a surprise visit from Rupert, Kate and Caroline. Great to see them. They just loved Billy who kept on joining in the conversation - Billy took a liking to Rupert and kept on sidling up to him making lovely dovey noises - Rupert was somewhat nervous but for no reason as he was on his best behaviour (for a change!)
Have just made entries for Jake and Dream at Whitfield on Sunday and will probably enter them both for Horseheath on the Saturday and then we can choose the race that will suit them individually. It will be really difficult going back to Horseheath as that was where we lost Velvet Blu two years ago. (She died of a brain hemorrhage when in the lead) and even though it was nothing to do with the track and was just a freak accident it still will not be easy running a horse there again.
