I have just heard from Jay, via e-mail, its been exactly five weeks since she left for the Amazon rain forest and there has been absolutely no contact at all, slightly worrying but she did warn me that that would be the case - she sounded very happy and will be getting a new sim card so that she can ring us. I'm not sure what her plans are now - her university group are all coming back but she was determined to see more of the country and wanted to stay out until the end of August.
