What a wild night last night! The wind howled and the rain lashed down. We have got shepherd hut guests having a romantic valentines break and there is no doubt that the earth would have moved for them!
We are taking four horses tomorrow, Popaway, Dancer, Goody and Eeyore. We have decided not to run Jake (Doctor Kingsley) as we don't want to risk him - He would only need to get a knock or a cut and with Cheltenham looming up it would be gut wrenching to miss it just for the sake of a point to point. I watched the Haydock hunter chase this afternoon and with the ground drying out it was obviously very tacky - the horses all finished legless and there is very little chance any of those would be back in time for Cheltenham.
