Needless to say Doug has not been 'discovered' after his big night on Saturday, but the entertainment factor was definitely 10 out of 10. So much so that they came second out of eight acts, probably on the comedy factor alone. The fact that the lead singer Francis Rossi (Ben Burton) completely forgot to sing and when he did the song was almost over, Rick Parfitt (Ben Nicholls) looked as though he was having an epilectic fit, John 'Rhino' Edwards (Chris Nimmo) got so carried away with the Rock n' Roll prancing that he fell over and Andrew Brown (Doug) had a dead rat on his head didn't seem to matter at all and the audience loved them and luckily all sang along so the lack of any 'joined up' singing wasn't actually noticed too much. There were some really good 'proper'acts where people actually sang in tune and had clearly done a lot of practicing, so I think there may have been a little bit of skullduggery for them to get as many votes as they did....
Hopefully I will be posting some photos as soon as Lucy sends them over. It was a great night out though and really good fun for the staff, although I'm not sure they will be able to take their boss, Doug, seriously ever again!
All horses are going really nicely. We got Dug (Val D'Auberge) back on Friday as he has been with his owner, Peter Bennett, doing some trotting work and is ready for the next stage now. He looks really well and is such a lovely horse, it is great to have him back.
We are hunting tomorrow although we can't take out as many as hoped as the chiropractor is coming at 11 am, so just taking out Harry (Out of Range) Jake (Doctor Kingsley) and Flash (Back in a Flash).
