The horses thoroughly enjoyed their morning hunting. It was armistice day and as the meet was at 11 am the minutes silence with around 16 couple of hounds and sixty horses honouring the minutes silence was really something  It was as though the animals sensed the importance of the occasion as you could have heard a pin drop. Quite extraordinary as normally the hounds and horses are really excited with anticipation and the horses are whinnying and shuffling around and the hounds are baying but at exactly 11 am there was complete silence....
Yesterday I felt compelled to go to London to see the poppies around the Tower of London and I am so pleased I did. It was incredibly poignant and wonderful that every one of the 888, 246 brave soldiers that lost their lives for their country have been honoured in this way.
