We are off to Garthorpe today with Val D'Auberge (Dug), King of Angels (Elvis) and Tik (Velvet Steel) who is making her debut in a charity flat race with Will Bishop on board.  They have been watering but it has been such a drying week we have just got to hope that the ground is suitable.
Last evening we walked Whitfield with Patrick White, the part owner with Juliet of Exclusive Rights and Lady Barfad. The ground was absolutely perfect. They have poured thousands of gallons of water on the track and I have never seen it so good for this time of year. Well done to them.
We did a really good piece of work with 'the Big Guns' yesterday - Out of Range, Popaway, Doctor Kingsley and We Never Give Up. These four are entered for Cheltenham on Wednesday evening. Oh dear, I can feel the butterflies happening already........
