Schooling morning in the menage was expensive for poor Harry today - He had a double decant from Murphy who can be a bit sharp and whilst he jumps the hurdle really well isn't terribly keen on the barrels. All good for the Christmas party though, so long may it continue.
The two youngsters jumped today for the first time and put some of the older horses to shame. They were both fabulous, particularly the four year old Tobougg filly who is a complete natural.
The King of Angels (Elvis) has returned from his break at Peter Bennett's and despite letting himself out and going down to the river on his first night, has settled in well. We have just got Chubb Castle's Ask Away (Chubby) and another filly (also related to Dr K) to come back and then we have got a full house.
We are hoping to run Velvet Cloud at Cottenham on Sunday 29th November - She is bouncing out of her skin at the moment and needs a run. The other horse that is telling us she is ready is Exclusive Rights (Scruffy) who will probably go to Barbury Castle in December.
