Valentine's night was spent watching the starlings roosting ( a murmuration) at Ottmoor nature reserve. It was absolutely spectacular. The noise of their wings and then as they land in the reed beds was overwhelming. It is something I have wanted to do for sometime and lovely now that the days are getting a bit longer to be able to get there in time for dusk.
It has been milder this week allowing us to do some fast work on the grass field. Popaway is in fine form and all set for Friday at Fakenham and Exclusive Rights is going to Brocklesby on Saturday.
The two big horses Nelson and Lenny are settling in really well now and apart form a little incident with Lenny when he decided to bolt home they are improving at a great rate of knots. Lenny even cantered around the grass field today without heading for the hedge, so we are definitely getting somewhere
