Well you can't win 'em all!  Popaway came third and although it was a bit disappointing we were delighted how well she jumped as that was our main concern. The ground had been over watered and it was good to soft with soft patches. Immie came back covered in mud and said how pluggy it was. Had we of known that the ground wasn't as stated we would probably have entered her in the two mile race which she has won previously or the 2.5 race. We also had our concerns previously that she may have caught the virus from the infected horses in the same barn as she was a bit quiet mid week, I wouldn't be at all surprised if something shows up in the next few days, but having said that she ran gallantly and was beaten by better horses on the day. It was a fantastic night though with some great racing and lovely country people. We had a wonderful evening and watched some great racing. I absolutely love the hunter chase evening and it is a huge privilege to have a runner there.
Most importantly Dream and Sam are doing really well - The foal is called Sam after Sam Burton who saved his life. and Sam is still a little wonky and can't get up on his own but is getting stronger all the time.
