We had a great day at the new Edgcote racetrack.
As the ground was so soft the stewards told the jockeys to hunt around slowly and to pull up if the horse was tired. They all were really sensible and most horses got home safely. Jess looked as though she was going to win and jumped the last fence in front but then Paddy got rather over excited and started flapping about with the whip, Jess wondered what on earth was going on and he just got beaten on the line but got a fine for overuse of the whip. Claire gave Budge a super ride and also just got beaten by a short head and Hannah stayed on board and had a lovely ride around coming fifth. Both Budge and Beech won best turned out, so it was a great day all round.
