We went to the races today but with no horses. It was a beautiful sunny day and the crowd was huge. As it was so hot we were worried that the ground would be too quick, which it was. Great racing though and lovely to be able to join other people's picnic and to relax and enjoy the day, without feeling horribly nervous.
It has been an incredibly busy weekend, not just with the racing but also because all five shepherd huts, the tent in the tree, the cosy cocoons and the cottage were full of guests. It couldn't have been better weather for them and they all went home happy customers.
As it was such a beautiful evening we went down to the river hut for a barbeque and swim. Absolutely idyllic....
