I take it all back England - What a transformation! They played with real determination and no gum chewing to be seen. If they play like that again they stand a chance of going through to the final and I am actually quite looking forward to their next match. I never thought the day would come when I would say that about English football.
The lovely hot weather continues - The grass is looking a bit brown now but there is still plenty of it and the horses are looking surprisingly well. Spider, the Kayf Tara filly still hasn't foaled.
We have had a lovely weekend with a hunt evening drinks party on Friday to welcome the new master, John Aprahamian into the fold, there was a good bunch of people there and we stayed rather later than we should. The following evening we went out for a lovely supper to Julie and Charlie Wadland's as we are having a puppy out of Charlie's terrier and by Jake, Peter Mann's dog that is son of Poppy. He is absolutely gorgeous and I now have to be patient and wait until he is 8 weeks old before he can come home. Two very long weeks to wait....
Today was very special too as Joseph and Sophie came round for lunch with little Henry and Jessica, who are very nearly as cute as the puppy(!) It was an absolute scorcher and we all ran about in the sprinkler to cool down and then after lunch we went for a walk and a paddle in the river.
A wonderful day.....
