STILL no foal.... She (Spider) looks enormous and is in the field with Squeak and Mary who she now loves so I hope she doesn't think she has already done the business and is holding out as I am getting a little tired with the very early mornings...
Peter Mann and his lovely girlfriend, Danielle, came around for supper the other night for a DVD session reminiscing about Doctor Kingsley. It was the first time Pete had seen all the Cheltenham replays as he had found it rather difficult to watch after his reluctant retirement but they were great viewing and although emotional he coped with it well - I have spent most of the day trying to get the DVD's onto YouTube so that I could put them onto the blog but frustratingly, they just wouldn't download. Pete went to see Dr K in the field and there was no question that the old horse remembered him - He was all over him and it was very special to watch. They had such an amazing relationship and I know he would never have won so many races if it hadn't been for Pete understanding his quirky side and to a certain extent, Jake understanding Pete's wacky and slightly off the wall personality.... They were meant for each other!
